13th World Congress for Therapeutic Riding exceeds Expectations
More than 800 experts from 30 nations attended to learn about therapeutic application possibilities of horse riding in medicine, education, psychology or sports at the four-day World Congress for Therapeutic Riding in Münster, Germany, which closed on August 15, 2009.
This excellent result by far exceeded expectations of the organizer, the German Board of Trustees for Therapeutic Riding.
In over 100 lectures, experts from 39 countries reported on practical projects, latest research results and aspects of quality assurance as main topics. The kieffer lecture on the subject "Function, role and design of equipment for therapeutic riding from the viewpoint of a saddle manufacturer" also met with keen interest. Those unfortunate to arrive late to our lecture had to make do with one of the few standing rooms left. And for those who had to miss the kieffer lecture in favour of another from the multitude of interesting lecture and workshop programmes has the opportunity here to download and study an abstract of our presentation.
